Thorvaldur Örn Kristmundsson
I love looking at photographs. Whether they be at a gallery, in a magazine or just old family photos, count me in. So I was pleased to read about the grand opening of The Big Wednesday Gallery, a new addition to The Kona Gallery and Photojournalism Center. Last night the grand opening featured the work of Thorvaldur Örn Kristmundsson, a photojournalist from Iceland. Kristmundsson experiments with the concept of brand in his show, “Nature Is Brand”.
Scott Mc Kiernan, owner of The Kona Gallery, noted that Kristmundsson “placed a manmade symbol of industrialization in southern Iceland’s tundra to show one of the world’s most recognized brands through nature’s perspective.” Curious what one of the world’s most recognized brands is?
