Are you going to the San Clemente Seafest?

So are you going? I am. The 23rd Annual San Clemente Seafest will be held this Sunday, October 10. 2010 at the Pier.

I’m mostly looking forward to the chowder cook-off. Locals, restaurants, and businesses contend for the best tasting chowder. I went last year and let me tell you, there’s going to be some great tasting chowder served on Sunday! You get five tastes per ticket and tickets cost $6.00. The tasting begins at 10:00 a.m. and concludes at 2:00 p.m.

There will also be an arts & Craft show, a business exposition and a U.S. Coast Guard Search & Rescue Demo Operation. Entertainment will be provided by the Gemtones.

Admission is free. You can park for free at San Clemente High School, 700 Avenida Pico and take a free shuttle. For more information, call the Chamber of Commerce at 949-492-1131.
