Cafe 207

October 10, 2010 By Joan Hester 5 Comments

Okay, is this too good to be true? No corkage fee, free lunches at Ole’s Tavern on Sundays during football season AND fresh, delicious food? Well it is true…at Cafe 207.

I went there on Saturday with my friend, Lisa. We loved it! The food was fresh and creatively prepared. Lisa had the salmon, and I ordered the seared Ahi. The Ahi was served with mashed potatoes, sauteed spinach and tomatoes. Yellow squash and asparagus topped the salmon.

I was able to talk with Darren, owner and chef of Cafe 207. Check it out!

About Joan Hester

During weekdays, I am Director of Admission at an independent school in Los Angeles. On the weekends, I like to explore LA with Jeff. I've thru-hiked the John Muir Trail, summited all the tallest peaks in Southern California, and I'm searching for the perfect, fat-free, calorie-free chocolate croissant.

When I’m in town I eat there 3 or 4 nights in a row. Food is excellent and the staff is so friendly and nice. For sure the best place to eat in San Clemente.

I’m very jealous! Looks great. I’ve never been to Cafe 207, although I have enjoyed the spread they cater for the Sunday Football games at Ole’s.

No need to be jealous, Jeff. We’ll go when you’re back!
