A Great Sunday

November 7, 2010 By Joan Hester 1 Comment

Today I ventured out of San Clemente and drove down to Carlsbad to have lunch with Jeff, his grandmother and his daughter, Bethany. Three generations of Hesters in one room. That’s either very scary or very wonderful. Actually, it was very wonderful.

At 95, Ruth is an active, fascinating woman. She’s a teacher and a writer. She recently self published a book about her world travels and is currently working on some more memoirs. She is a pleasure.

After we dropped Ruth at home, we went to see his uncle (yes, the missing generation) at the Carlsbad Village Street Fair. Paul owns Designer Glass Carlsbad and he had a booth at the Fair.

As we were walking I saw this great tricycle in front of Snyder Art and Design. I love it!

All in all, a great day. Hope you enjoyed your Sunday!

About Joan Hester

During weekdays, I am Director of Admission at an independent school in Los Angeles. On the weekends, I like to explore LA with Jeff. I've thru-hiked the John Muir Trail, summited all the tallest peaks in Southern California, and I'm searching for the perfect, fat-free, calorie-free chocolate croissant.
