Los Sindicate

September 26, 2010 By Joan Hester 2 Comments

Back CameraI think it would be fun to meet some of the families of the musicians I like. “Hello, Mrs. Matthews. How old was Dave when he started singing?” or “Where in the hell did your daughter come up with the name Lady Gaga?”

Saturday night I had the opportunity to meet the family of one of the members of a great band – Los Sindicate.

A local band out of LA, the members of Los Sindicate are just regular guys. For example Kevin Nerison, the drummer, had been out paddle boarding in Mission Bay earlier that day. That night his mother and father, sister and wife were at OC Tavern to support and enjoy the music.

Los Sindicate is a band that’s difficult to catagorize. They are a lot of rock, a little bit country and they rock the house every time! See for yourself.

About Joan Hester

During weekdays, I am Director of Admission at an independent school in Los Angeles. On the weekends, I like to explore LA with Jeff. I've thru-hiked the John Muir Trail, summited all the tallest peaks in Southern California, and I'm searching for the perfect, fat-free, calorie-free chocolate croissant.

Los Sindicate rocks! I’ve seen’em three times so far, and thoroughly enjoyed them every time. You’ve gotta check them out if you get the chance.

I posted a couple more HD recordings on YouTube.

This one includes one of their signature songs, where the lead vocalist switches places with the drummer for a harmonica solo.

I learned today that the OC Tavern is no longer holding live bands. The concert hall has been converted into an off-track betting facility for horse races. Ugh!

Too bad, really, as they had a decent sized area for bands and their fans. I guess I won’t be going back there.
