New Year’s Eve at the Casino

December 17, 2010 By Joan Hester 1 Comment

Looking for something to do this New Year’s Eve? Love dining, dancing and champagne?  Love San Clemente?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then I have just the New Years event for you!

The San Clemente Historical Society is hosting New Year’s Under the Dome. It will be the 2nd annual New Year’s Eve at the historical San Clemente Casino.  In the words of Georgette Korsen, President of the San Clemente Historical Society, “Last year’s event was amazing and this year promises to be even better!”

When: December 31st
Where: San Clemente Casino, 140 W. Avenida Pico, San Clemente

$100 per person includes hor d’oeuvres, dinner, champagne toast and dancing to Hot Pursuit.
For tickets, contact Larry Culbertson at (949) 493-5561

The event will begin with appetizers and continue with diner served at your table.  There will be a dessert bar as well as a midnight champagne toast.  Hot Pursuit, voted the #1 dance band in San Diego County, will rock the dance floor all night.

Tables for 8 and 10 are available.  If you fill a table, the Historical Society will display your business name as a sponsor on an elevated sign.

The San Clemente Casino has quite a history.  Built in 1937, it is an official City Historic Landmark.  Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney, Dorothy Lamoure, Cesar Romero and a host of others have entertained in this beautiful domed building.  It’s the perfect place to kick up your heels and ring in the new year.  And the best part, it’s local!

About Joan Hester

During weekdays, I am Director of Admission at an independent school in Los Angeles. On the weekends, I like to explore LA with Jeff. I've thru-hiked the John Muir Trail, summited all the tallest peaks in Southern California, and I'm searching for the perfect, fat-free, calorie-free chocolate croissant.

It’s great to see these historic buildings getting use again!
